A Travel-Booking Site and the Mini-ERP Behind It
A public travel-booking site and a full internal mini-ERP for one tour business — package sales out front, and expenses, revenue, and operations managed behind an authenticated admin panel.
The Brief
Majestic Paths needed two connected but distinct systems: a public travel-booking site to market and sell tour packages, and an internal mini-ERP to actually run the business — tracking expenses and revenue, staff, customers, packages, and group tours.
The client is an SAP professional by background and had designed the data structure for the financial modules himself. My job wasn’t to invent a schema; it was to implement his exactly and turn it into something usable — a different skill, and its own kind of discipline.
The Build
The public site lets visitors browse packages by type — Umrah, domestic, and international — request a custom itinerary through a “Get Quote” form covering starting point, stops, travel dates, and contact details, and read through destinations, tours, and testimonials.
Behind a Supabase-authenticated admin panel sits the mini-ERP. The Expenses and Revenue modules are full data tables — sortable, filterable, searchable — with category and subcategory classification, distribution rules, payment mode and reference tracking, image upload and preview for proof of payment, CSV export, and per-record edit history. Simpler CRUD modules handle employees, customers, packages, group tours, and the categories that tie it all together.
Faithfully translating someone else’s accounting structure into a reliable, working tool turned out to be as much of the work as any of the code.
The Outcome
Both systems shipped and ran the way they were meant to — the public site out front, the ERP quietly doing the bookkeeping behind it, with a full edit-history trail and proof-of-payment tracking on every financial record.
